This excursion provided from Dream in Dalmatia will give you the possibility to see town of Korčula, Marco Polo’s hometown, and also town Lumbarda, one of the oldest towns in Croatia. Last destination would be island Mljet, Croatian national park.
The start of the tour is scheduled for 8:30 AM, after the welcoming drink and degustation of traditional Dalmatian sweets. Trip to island Korčula lasts for around 2 hours. During the ride, you will find out more about Korčula history from our hostess. When you enter the town of Korčula, you will have a guide who will take you to most important sights of the town. Since it is so good preserved, you will see how did Korčula looked in ancient history. Guide will also take you to famous traveler and writer Marco Polo who was born in Korčula.
After 2 hours stay at Korčula, you will go to the Mljet island, which is also a Croatian national park from 1960. There will also be a guide who will take through whole national park, including Big and Small lake, Benedictin monastery from 12th century. This monastery is fascinating since it is located on a small island Saint Mary, which has a central position on island Korčula. After the lunch on Mljet, you will have the opportunity to take a swim and relax on one of the inlets. Next destination is town of Lumbarda on Korčula island known for authentic wineries and famous quality wines. You will have a chance to taste them. On the way back to Makarska, the boat will pass by many bays and inlets where you will be able to stop for a swim. Excursion will end with arrival to Makarska around 7 PM.
